Meet Naima

When Cari returned to Tanzania in 2023, she had the chance to meet Naima for the first time. Naima was one of the students who became part of Dreaming For Kids’ second cohort, joining a group of young people beginning an important new chapter in their education. Today, Naima is completing Form 4 at Winning Spirit Secondary School. This fall, she will graduate from secondary school—a milestone that felt much further away when we first met her.

Growing Up Together

Naima has shared much of her secondary school experience with the other students in Cohort 2. They have grown up, studied, laughed, and reached milestones together—and now they are beginning to see the results of the years they have invested in their education.

Among those familiar faces is Abdullah, who continues to attend school alongside Naima. Having a friend who understands the experience and is working toward many of the same goals is a special part of their journey.

Dreaming Beyond Graduation

Naima has big plans for her future. She hopes to become an entrepreneur, building something of her own and creating opportunities along the way.

As she approaches graduation, she is beginning to think about how she can turn that ambition into reality. Her education is giving her a foundation to build from, while the support and encouragement around her remind her that others believe in what she can accomplish.

Naima is especially grateful to everyone who has supported her education and trusted her with the opportunity to pursue her dreams.
